“A small island off the Shetlands, Foula is the remotest place in the United Kingdom. Populated by only a couple of dozen people, this place’s self reliance is tested regularly with strong winds and rough seas cutting the island off from the outside for days and weeks at a time. Once you finally make it to shore, you find a beautifully isolated landscape, one which you don’t mind losing yourself in from the outside world.”
